The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley is proud to host an exhibit of oil and acrylic paintings, sculptures and conte drawings at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery, on the corner of 8th & Argyle Street in Port Alberni.
Artist Kathleen Scott studied fine art at Vancouver Island University (formerly Malaspina University College) from 2000-2004. She won a number of awards and participated in several group shows. In 2006 Kathleen moved to Port Alberni and started her own business, Mud Otter Pottery in 2008.

Alberni Forest Fest will start with a concert at the Capitol Theatre on Friday, July 3nd and continue with events at McLean Mill on Saturday & Sunday, July 4th & 5th. Events will include Spoken Word Festival, Gospel Train & Singers, live Mill demonstrations, Tin Pants Theatre, Black Powder Demo and much more.

Tea on the Terrace is being served on Thursday afternoons, 1 - 3 pm ONLY during July and August, starting July 9. Have a cup of tea, coffee, ice tea or lemonade and a "goodie or two" while listening to live entertainment. New menu this summer! Avoid disappointment - make a reservations in advance. During July and August, the McLean Mill presents a BBQ by Batstar Cafe & Picnic, followed by a Theatre Sports Show.  Dinner is at 6 pm.  Show at 7:30 pm.

A whimiscal art exhibit of paintings, prints, magnets, buttons etc by artist Naomi teWinkel. Naomi is an internationally known self-taught artist who ventured into the world of art in 2003. One of Naomi's pieces was the key installation at the University of Victoria Maltwood Gallery, where it received special praise from one of the most discriminating art critics in the area. Another piece is now the logo for VPWAS - a charity that helps people who are living with AIDS.
The Rollin Art Centre is open Tues. to Sat., 11 am - 4 pm. Free admission! Wheelchair accessible.
