Art works by local First Nations Artists are on display at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery, on the corner of 8th Ave. and Argyle St. Artists include Ray Sim with unframed limited edition prints, Jason Titian with hand carved masks, Tom Paul with red cedar carvings, Joshua Prescott with framed limited edition print, Tobias "Bear" Watts with a hand carved salmon and Kelley Foxcroft-Poirier with acrylic paintings. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission! Wheelchair accessible.

Lady Rose Marine Supports Cancer Society

For the entire month of March, Lady Rose Marine will donate $20 per round trip passenger to the Cancer Society. Considering that the the round trip fare is $68, this is a big part of the fare. So if you want to take a scenic day cruise on the Frances Barkley and support Lady Rose Marine's efforts to help the Cancer Society book a trip. Please book ahead though. Call (250) 723-8313.

Alberni Abstracted and Seascapes

Artist Chris Doman will have his acrylic paintings on display at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery.  Joining him, is artist Jacinda Hames with her clay sculptures.  Meet the artists on Thursday, March 11, from 7 pm - 9 pm.  Rollin Art Centre Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm.  Free admission to the Gallery!  Wheelchair accessible.

Cooking With Stella

The music of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ed Peekeekoot, goes from foot-stomping fiddle to virtuoso classical guitar, sprinkled throughout with his Cree humour and philosophy.  Tickets are $18 adults, $16 senior/students and are available at the Rollin Art Centre, Echo Centre and Somass Drugs.  ALL tickets at the door are $20.
