Wind Surfing & Kite boarding Company Opens

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Matt Williamson and Rob & Sandra Gentleman invite you to the grand opening of Wild West Watersports on the Victoria Day weekend coming up on 22-24 May. For a $10 launch fee there will also be a resue boat on site in case of trouble. Williamson said that there are many reasons to locate in the Alberni Inlet. "The primary reason, of course is the reliable strong steady wind from the south that occurs every afternoon all summer long in the Alberni Inlet",he says. "It here is more room than the prime Nitnat location. the wind is steadier. You don't have to camp and you can bring the family and stay in comfort in some local accommodations". when asked if there might be any conflict with fishermen who also use these waters, he responds that they are mostly all off the water by the afternoon when the wind comes up. So there is virtually no conflict.
